ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Bella Kwong! I am a 3D Animator from the San Francisco Bay Area. In May 2026, I graduated San Jose State University with a BFA in Animation/Illustration and Business Minor.

My favorite part about animation is its collaborative process. I view directorial feedback as an opportunity to learn & to ensure my work perfectly shapes the story we're all working to tell. Ultimately, my goal is to continue using my creativity and problem-solving skills on projects that bring people together.

Fortunately, I'm doing just that as a 3D Animator and Marketing Manager on the SJSU thesis film, "Sticky Fingers." Juggling this project and my senior year has allowed me to practice time management and creative problem-solving under deadlines.

While my education provided a strong creative foundation, I pursued internships to gain a holistic understanding of the animation pipeline, from production to marketing.

From June to August 2024, I was a Production Intern at Paramount Animation. I gained a broader perspective of the pipeline after shadowing art reviews and collating milestone data from previous films. However, I realized I had yet to learn the business aspects of the entertainment industry.

This inspired me to be the Fall 2024 Creative Production Intern for the entertainment marketing agency WORTHI!
I adapted my prod skills to the fast-paced setting of social media marketing. Building customer relationships had taught me to always consider the audience's perspective, which is now a principle I always carry into animation.

I'm also an active member of the animation community! Currently, I am the Social Media Assistant for Asians in Animation (AIA). From 2023-24, I was the Social Media Coordinator for the SJSU Shrunkenheadman Animation Club.
I am also a member of
Women in Animation (WIA).

I believe that art is a universal medium that can inspire change. I am exploring 3D animation and production, and I would like to continue using my creativity and problem-solving skills on projects that bring people together. I hope to spread inspiring stories with diverse characters and promote activism through my animated work.
