Sticky Fingers - SJSU Thesis Film (MAY 2025 - PRESENT)

As Marketing Manager for my animated thesis film, I organized a fundraiser with local business, Breaktime Boba. 20% of sales went to our project, and we managed to raise $185! We brought college community together to gather around a shared cause while supporting a local business.

Initially, I had researched and pitched different local businesses that we could potentially do a fundraiser with. Breaktime Boba was the best choice due to its distance to SJSU and the Gen Z little treat culture. I also made sure to leverage the ongoing matcha and boba trends at the time.

I oversaw flyer creation when working with the film directors and graphic designer. We worked together to give critiques and set deadlines. Leading up to the event, I also created, copywrote, and scheduled social media posts that would showcase what our fundraiser would be going towards.

Closer to the event, I spread the word throughout SJSU clubs' Discord servers. Additionally, I coordinated with the Shrunkenheadman Animation Club to have us advertise at their monthly meeting.

Flyer posting and distributing were key for this fundraiser. I printed and hung them around busy spots on campus. On the day of the fundraiser, my team members and I passed out flyers to students who were leaving classrooms near the boba shop. Participants had to show the flyer to the cashier, so this was a great way to convert previously unaware customers.

WORTHI Marketing Creative Production Internship (SEPT 2024 - DEC 2024)

At WORTHI, I interned with the Audience Strategy team for Max's Pa'lante social media accounts and the Creative Production team for Max's Scene in Black. I collated data, tracked project assignments, and communicated with clients on monday.com.

Friendsgiving Video for Max's Scene in Black (Left)

I wrote the video editing script/brief for Max's Scene in Black Friendsgiving video! I filtered through WORTHI's various interview clips from Culture Con and decided which videos and timestamps were most entertaining for social media. Afterwards, I wrote a script for the editors that detailed what clips, sound effects, and text to use. I had fun blending strategic thinking with creativity for this project!

Client Scene Lift Clips for Max's Pa'lante! (Below)

I worked alongside the Audience Strategy team to oversee the marketing/approval process for Max’s Pa’lante! social media account. I really enjoyed pitching engaging scene lifts from Max titles, such as The Penguin and The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, to post on social media.
I also cataloged past social media collaborations and indexed which Max tiles that Pa’lante! had supported in 2024.

SJSU's Shrunkenheadman Animation Club (MAY 2023 - MAY 2024)

As Social Media Coordinator, I managed the club’s Squarespace website, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter X, and Discord presence to boost event attendance and inform our 500+ club members of animation resources.
I created content for Instagram stories, scheduled posts based on metrics, and wrote copy that maintained a consistent brand voice.

Upperclassmen Student & Alumni Spotlights

As Social Media Coordinator, I aimed to strengthen alumni engagement while sharing industry advice with current students. Launching a Spotlight Series was the perfect way to achieve both. I was able to create meaningful connections and inspire the student body in an accessible format!

I selectively outreached to multiple SJSU alumni & upperclassmen, interviewed them over Zoom, collected their artwork, and designed the Spotlight graphics on Photoshop. Finally, I scheduled the posts based on metrics and invited them as Instagram Collaborators.

SHMCon Art Convention Activation: Vendor Spotlights

I coordinated the physical & digital promotion for SJSU’s SHM Con art convention of 1000+ attendees and 80+ vendors. The biggest parts to organize were the Instagram Shop Spotlight ads. I worked with the club's graphic designer to create themed assets for social media. Afterwards, I communicated with vendors to collect their graphics and captions. Finally, I scheduled them on a posting calendar and made sure to vary the types of vendors that were featured each week.

SHMCon Art Convention Activation: Augmented Reality Filters (Meta Spark Studio)

My goal was to promote the event in an immersive & memorable way! I used my design skills and interest in 3D Art to manipulate the original assets. The iterations were worth it in the end when audiences could engage with our themed motifs in real-time.
